'Anthony Lister's interest in superheroes and villains reflects his interest in societies moral compass as well as his interest in mythology. Combining the two, LISTER creates artwork that allows the audience to question 'right v wrong', 'good v bad', 'villain v hero'. This comparison also reflects LISTER's practice - 'fine art v street art' and how one is applauded, represented by polished galleries and museums, while the other is a chargeable offence which has seen him in jail. One day you are a hero, the next society turns on you and you become the villain.'
