These imagined beings are surreal, sun-drenched, tangled in bodies, birds and a cat - a dreamlike scene that blurs intimacy, absurdity, and spectacle. Originally exhibited at the Olsen Gallery in Sydney, the original painting gained extra exposure when it was bought by Hugh Jackman and his wife for their residence in Australia during the filming of The Wolverine. Parrots hover and perch like eccentric narrators, adding flashes of colour and tension to a scene that feels both playful and haunting.
